Since its introduction, back in 1998, the GMC Sierra 2500 has stood out among other heavy duty pickup trucks. GMC’s commitment to “Professional Grade” has taken the newest Sierra 2500, the 2018 Sierra 2500, to a whole new level. This fact has been largely cemented thanks to the latest award the heavy duty pickup has been bestowed. The 2018 Sierra 2500HD pickup truck recently earned Truck Trend Network’s ‘2018 Pickup Truck of the Year’ award!

Formed in May of 2015, Truck Trend Network is a branch of Motor Trend (Sanchez 1). Readers of Truck Trend Network readers can “find truck reviews, how-to buildups, custom-truck features, diesel performance, recreational vehicles, travel adventures, and the most up-to-date news in the truck sphere” (Sanchez 9).

Truck Trend’s panel of expert truck judges pitted the 2018 GMC Sierra against 5 other 2018 model year trucks, including: the 2018 Ram 3500, 2018 Ram 1500 Harvest Edition, 2018 Toyota Tundra, 2018 Ford F-150, and the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2.

Truck Trend Network had a lot to say about their ‘2018 Pickup Truck of the Year’ winner; which you can read here. A few attributes of the 2018 Sierra 2500 that the Truck Trend Network judges were particularly favorable included its “Class-leading horsepower. Incredible speed and agility for such a large truck.
