Buick EV Crossover Sketch Concept

December 8th, 2021 by

Back in 2018, Buick revealed their all-electric, SUV concept – the Enspire concept. The Buick Enspire concept came shortly after General Motor’s public commitment to roll out at least 20 new all-electric vehicles by 2023. Since then, most of General Motors’ electrification news has come from their GMC brand, and the production of the all-new Hummer EV. While, Buick has yet to reveal any production EV model, we get another look this month of what an all-electric Buick model might look like.

On December 6, 2021 General Motors revealed sketch images of a new Buick SUV concept vehicle, via their @GeneralMotorsDesign Instagram page. The social media post leaves room for a lot of questions; for one, the concept was revealed without any apparent name. In addition, the post does not specifically say the concept is an all-electric model; however, looking towards the rear of the SUV concept there’s a clear omission of any exhaust pipes, which highly suggests an all-electric vehicle.

While this new Buick SUV concept seems to draw some design cues from the fore-mentioned Enspire concept, there’s a lot more that’s different with this sketch model. For starters, this new concept model has a more elongated, swooping, sporty look. Also, the side panels and side windows are sleeker and highlight the swoopy design element. A last but not least, the SUV’s wheels feature a Tri-Shield Buick logo cap is centered inside the wheel with a significant amount of depth and surrounded by beveled, Y-shaped split spokes.

Buick has not announced plans of any production model, all-electric SUV model. But with the reveal of the Enspire concept and this latest sketch model, we’re hoping that day will come soon. Ferguson Buick GMC would love to offer an all-electric Buick SUV model to our Greater Tulsa Metro SUV shoppers.
