GMC TERRAIN RANKS HIGHEST FOR NEW-OWNER SATISFACTION, IN COMPACT SUV SEGMENT

August 1st, 2019 by

In the United States, midsize and compact SUVs account for more than one-third of all vehicle sales. Here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, many drivers are switching to vehicles that fall within the compact SUV segment. The compact SUV segment is a very crowded and competitive field. This segment includes the likes of the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and Hyundai Tucson.

With so many choices, which model is best for Tulsa drivers? May we suggest the 2019 GMC Terrain? The 2019 Terrain comfortably accommodates up to five people and easily allows you to maximize cargo space. It’s a highly practical SUV for our Tulsa-area drivers. It’s also the best compact SUV, in terms of new owner satisfaction, according to a new study by J.D. Power.

In J.D. Power’s most recent 2019 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, the GMC Terrain was awarded the “Highest Ranked Compact SUV.” According to J.D. Power, the APEAL Study measures “owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement with their new vehicle across 77 attributes, ranging from the power they feel when they step on the gas to the sense of comfort and luxury they feel when climbing into the driver’s seat.” [1]

The Terrain’s latest achievement highlights GMC’s committed to producing SUV models that are designed and engineered to the highest standard. “Our redesigned Terrain and Acadia have found their stride in the market and our full-size Yukon and Yukon XL continue to lead the luxury full-size segment with premium appointments and features,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. The Terrain is attracting one of every two buyers who are new to the GMC brand.
